The new Enhancement set bonuses better be a placeholder or I'm going to cry. It also looks like one hell of a gear reset. Three different iLevels and some of the stats on them are ridiculous.

Nice 4-set bonus (kinda), though I'd rather have the t8 4-piece (direct heal on Rejuv).

They look the same as T8 though, same colouring and all?

The models haven't been data-mined yet. He's just using them as placeholders. No way would I wear gear that looked like Hunter T8. bleh.

I'll give that a woo-yay, in the hope that means the non-set gear will actually end up with a different (presumably shared) set of models, rather than everything being recoloured Tier gear Smile

Taminak wrote:Do we have any worries or grievances with the stats and benefits of the new Tiers
Well, the hunter bonuses certainly look comically poor, though there's some scope in hoping the 4-pc bonuses are just filler at the moment (mage one is from T7, hunter from T5, and the hunter one is total pants - 5% crit on a padding shot as opposed to the mage 5% crit on main nukes - etc).

Taminak wrote:is this information being released far too early for our liking?
Well, it's up to us what we make of the information - and it's all on the PTR to see if we fancy the 1GB+ download (yikes).

The sheer size of that suggests that we might get a horkload of content in 3.2... no bad thing!

As far as I can guess it's not so much that stuff has been data mined, as the T9 graphics simply aren't released yet (given that it's available from vendors in Dalaran, it's not like you'd need to work hard to see it once you were on the PTR!).

edit: as rather eloquently done by WoWInsider...

Clearly the more important thing is to see if the on-release version of the new VoA boss is as much as a PuG-killer as Emalon was when he came out Surprised.

Now that I've fixed it ignoring my Battle.net details. Am currently downloading the PTR patch.

    Also something to note:
All the sets are named after Iconic characters in WOW.

So, this should give an indication of who the armour sets are for (Alliance or Horde)
Got characters such as Garona and Gul'Dan for the Horde (Rogue and Warlock)
Where you have Stormrage and Khadgar for the Alliance (Druid and Mage)

So, hopefully the sets will look some what more epic then the previous ones.

It would appear, hilarously enough, that the trick for melee at least with Koralon the Flame Watcher is ... to stand in the fire.

    From MMO-Champion's Forums
Killed Koralon at 3:45 AM (CDT) on 10 Man, Anasterian (PvP) Test Realm.
    Main Tank: DK/Prot Pal
Healers: Prot healing Hybrid, Resto Druid
DPS: Rogue, Hunter, Warlock, Warrior, Mage, Shaman.

He has no adds, and only a few abilities.

His initial damage is relatively weak, approximately 10-14k physical hits on an Ulduar Tank.

His most used spell is reminiscent of Magmadar from MC. He puts random fire pits around his room. They do 4k Fire Damage per second.

His next spell is Meteor Fists, works like Meteor but is focused on the tank. All damage is split between tank and those within 10 yds of him. He does this about 2-3 times in a row. Each hit does about 20k initially.

He spins every 30 seconds or so and uses Burning Breath, does 3k-4k ticks of fire damage, once or twice to the entire raid.

His last ability is a 5% increase to damage periodically. I believe it happens after every spin.

Woo, yay, and joy! Lots more here -> http://www.mmo-champion.com/index.php?topic=67841.0

Flask of the North isn't buttock-shatteringly awesome, apart from the fact that it lasts forever...
Increases your spell power by 47, attack power by 80, or Strength by 40 for 1 hour. Counts as both a Battle and Guardian elixir. Effect persists through death.

The fact that all quest mobs will show up on the world map is rather delicious for levelling alts. Finding spawns is the hardest part of most quests these days!

    Previews of plate T9(?)

    http://www.mmo-champion.com/index.php?topic=68155.0

Personally, I'm not happy with this.
I took the news of the "faction specific art" very positively - but this is not quite what I was expecting... Instead of 10 distinctive (1 per class) looks, we'll now have 8 distinctive looks (Horde versions of Plate, Mail, Leather and Cloth)... I just don't feel there's enough difference between the Deathknight, Warrior and Paladin looks.

Sure, there are texture differences between the sets, but I sure hope there's something to this that isn't done justice by those static screenshots :<

    Patch 3.2 BOP Items Trade
A very nice feature was added to the game with the latest PTR patch, according to the interface files and a few in-game tests you can now trade BOP items with members of your raid who participated in the kill. This change will probably considerably lower the amount of GM petitions each day.

    • BIND_TRADE_TIME_REMAINING = "You may trade this item with players that were also eligible to loot this item for the next %s."; -- Time remaining to trade a bound item. Example: You may trade this item with players that were eligible to loot this item for the next 1 hour 30 minutes.

We are in for such a humping... from MMO-Champion:
The Argent Confessor achievement for the fight against Argent Confessor Paletress is probably the most interesting one. According to some datamining I did on the creatures it seems that this encounter will let you experience previous fights with bosses from past dungeons/expansions.
