Guide on Raiding Faster Empty Guide on Raiding Faster

Found this gem on WoWinsider today - we already do most of the things on them, but there's a thing or two I learned from watching it (/sw woo!).

There's link to other guides in the info box, if you want to watch more. Enjoy! Smile

Wasn't sure where else to post this so decided to add it here:

"Don't jump out of void zones: I don't want to get too much into details. But the game code translates your position as going from X to Y. That is, if you jump from X to Y, you're still going to be at X until you land on Y. You're better off strafing or running straight out of the void zone. This helps explain some of the early deaths I've had. I knew I was clear of the voids, but I'd still die because the void zone effect went off while I was in the air. The game code still interpreted my position as still being inside the void zone."

Read this on WoWinsider this morning (priest column, Spiritual Guidance). Could explain why our melee still die to KT's voids - seems jumping out of voids is NOT cool after all.. Sad Anyway, this mechanic was news to me.

That's all well and good Marv, but if the DPS see the zones early enough they walk out at snail pace and not get hit :p; which makes the x to y jump thing fine, maybe I'll walk back in future though, I think the only time I've been killed by a void zone was on one of our early attempts where I wasn't concentrating. Interesting though; I usually jump back because it's faster than walking, and side-stepping risks the chance of frostblasting the tank/other DPS group.
